Welcome to the very first edition of Caldwell in the Spotlight! We are excited to introduce this monthly newsletter as a way to keep our Caldwell families informed, connected, and in the know about all the wonderful things happening across our campus.

Each month, Caldwell in the Spotlight will feature helpful information about upcoming campus-wide events, important dates, reminders, and other opportunities for our students and families. We hope this newsletter becomes a helpful resource for keeping up with everything happening at Caldwell Arts Academy.

We are looking forward to a wonderful school year filled with creativity, learning, and opportunities to shine. Thank you for partnering with us and being an important part of the Caldwell community!

We are officially opening up registration for Drum Talk Caldwell during the upcoming school year, and we have a very exciting update:

Drum Talk is now open beyond Tyler ISD! It no longer matters what school district your kiddo or teen is in—they can join us for Drum Talk this year.

Program Details:

• First Day: Tuesday, August 18th

• Days: Tuesdays and Wednesdays

• Time: 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• What we do: We offer a unique music program explicitly focused on fostering cognitive growth and supporting social-emotional needs.

Get ready to kick off an exciting new school year with our House Kick-Off Pep Rally on Friday, August 21 at 8:30 AM in the gym!

New students will learn their House on Monday, August 17, so new families will know which House color to wear for the pep rally!

All parents are invited to join us as we celebrate our Houses and cheer on our students. Show your House pride by wearing your child’s House colors and supporting them from the stands!

Want to help decorate your House section? Parents are welcome to join us on Thursday, August 20 from 2:00–4:00 PM to decorate. Please bring your own decorations and supplies.

Important: All parents must check in through the front office when arriving on both Thursday and Friday.

We can’t wait to see our Caldwell families showing their House spirit! 💜

Every Monday, we bring the House Hype by wearing our House colors! Students can show their House spirit through shirts, accessories, socks, hair bows, and more. Get creative and have fun, while keeping outfits comfortable, school-appropriate, and ready for learning, movement, and all of our daily activities.

We have had a fantastic first three days back! 💜 We are so proud of how our students are settling into routines, learning, and making Caldwell feel like home.

As we head into next week, please take a moment to review the reminders on the flyer, including arrival and dismissal procedures, cell phone expectations, dress code, and upcoming events. Thank you for helping us keep our days running smoothly and supporting a safe, positive learning environment!
