Dear Mayo Families -

There are a lot of upcoming activities to make sure are on your calendars. I know I have shared some of them before but I read somewhere that you need to read something 3 times to truly remember it......at least I think that is what I read. :)

Trunk or Treat & The Book Fair

The PTA will host our second annual Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 23rd from 6-7. It was a VERY popular event last year as we hope to see all of you there. Costumes are welcome! The book fair will be open as well from 6:00-8:00. There will also be book fair shopping night on Wednesday October 21st from 5:00-7:30.

Literacy Parade — October 28 at 10:00 AM
We can't wait to celebrate literacy together with our annual parade. Students will be presenting information about a book or character that they like. Only our 5th graders are invited to wear costumes. Teachers will be communicating about what students need to bring in soon! Families are welcome to join us around the main circle we just ask to carpool or walk if you can and to not block fire exits. Student should not be dismissed after as we have lots of learning left in the day!

🎶 Winter Concert — December 16
And because apparently we enjoy planning ahead…we have officially set the date for our Winter Concert! Wednesday, December 16. 🎵 10:00 AM & 1:30 PM. Families with last names N-Z are invited at 10:00 while families A-M are invited st 1:30.

Parent/Teacher Conferences.

We are using a new platform this year called PTC WIzard. Scheduling will open for all families on October 13 at 7:00 p.m. You should have received an email with details earlier in the week. Please use this online signup to choose a slot that works best for you. Conferences will be 12 minutes in length. We ask that you are mindful of this time frame as there will likely be another parent behind you waiting.

We hope you have an amazing and restful three day weekend!

With gratitude,

Kristin
