Lincoln Families,
As we move through November, we continue to celebrate the many communities and stories that make Lincoln such a vibrant and caring place. Transgender Awareness Week (November 13–19) is a time to uplift and honor our transgender and gender-expansive community members—recognizing their resilience, courage, and important contributions to our world.

6th Grade Student Led Conferences!
Friday, November 14th
On Friday, November 14, all 6th-grade students will conduct their Student-Led Conferences, and you are invited to attend as their special guest. This conference is the culminating activity of our work with the 6th-grade essential question and our guided reflections on the transition into middle school.
The purpose of Student-Led Conferences is to encourage students to take ownership of their learning through meaningful reflection, personal assessment, and strategic goal setting. Our goal is for students to become more aware of how they learn and to take personal responsibility for their progress. With this awareness and reflection, students are better positioned for future success.
These conferences also provide additional benefits. Guests gain a deeper understanding of students’ daily school experiences positively, while students develop important life skills such as organization, communication, and critical thinking. By preparing a script and portfolio, students examine their classroom performance, set goals and strategies for improvement, present their learning, and reflect on their progress with future growth in mind.
On the morning of the conferences, please report to your child’s Homebase classroom at your scheduled appointment time.
We also invite you to contribute to our Community Breakfast, which will be available in the cafeteria from 7:30–9:20 AM. Families are encouraged to drop by for juice, coffee, tea, and assorted baked goods before or after their child’s conference. If you’d like to help with our Community Breakfast, please sign up HERE!
We look forward to seeing you on Friday, November 14, to share in this worthwhile endeavor.
Sincerely,
The 6th Grade Teachers
scheduled appointment time.

This week, we proudly celebrate School Psychology Week and recognize our very own School Psychologist, Deilyn Gonzalez-Avila!
Deilyn plays a vital role in supporting our students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being. Her care, expertise, and dedication make a lasting impact on our school community each and every day.

Lincoln's Library
Great things happening!
A big thank-you to our amazing Library team, Cynthia Solis and Amy Di Dario, for creating such meaningful experiences for our students! This week, they put together a beautiful ofrenda in honor of Día de los Muertos, giving our community a space to reflect and celebrate loved ones who have passed.
They also coordinated dog therapy sessions for our students—a wonderful way to support wellness and bring some extra joy and calm to campus.
We’re so grateful for Cynthia and Amy’s creativity, care, and commitment to making Lincoln a welcoming and supportive place for all.
Parent Worksop
Yondr Pouches
Coming Soon
We wanted to share an update regarding our upcoming Yondr pouch implementation. After thoughtful consideration and continued planning, we will be pushing the implementation to second semester, beginning when we return from Winter Break.
This adjustment will allow us additional time to ensure a smooth rollout and provide students, staff, and families with clear communication and support before we begin. We remain committed to creating a focused and connected learning environment where students can fully engage in their learning and school community.
Thank you for your understanding and partnership as we prepare for this important step.
Lions Leading
Culturally Responsive Teaching
This week, we’re proud to recognize three teachers who continue to bring curiosity, empowerment, and belonging to life through culturally responsive teaching:
- Mrs. Marianna O’Brien – for her engaging Marble Run project, where students explored how energy is measured and transferred through hands-on experimentation.
- Ms. Katelyn Allard – for her creative PE lesson that empowered students to design and film their own workout videos, promoting voice, choice, and confidence.
- Mrs. Hartson – for leading a thoughtful Socratic Seminar that encouraged students to share their perspectives, listen deeply, and engage in meaningful dialogue.
Each of these lessons reflects our shared commitment to learning experiences that honor student voice, foster curiosity, and build a strong sense of belonging across our classrooms.
