A Note from the Principal's Desk

Greetings Hawthorne ES Parents/Guardians,

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. & Mrs. Frank, as well as Maike Caudle Rozhavsky, for your incredible support in making Bingo Night a success and for ensuring that our Bus Driver Appreciation Week was truly special. Your effort mean so much to our school community!

Thank you to all the families that attended our Bingo Night on Friday.

Please join me in welcoming two new employees to Hawthorne Elementary School. Mr. Davis (custodian) and Mr. Cannon (Safe Schools Assistant).

We’re eagerly looking forward to more thrilling events this week designed to engage both our staff and students.

Book Character Dress up Day - Thursday, October 31st (during school day - Dress as your favorite Book Character: (no replicas of weapons allowed). Students are encouraged to wear their favorite book character accompanied by their book to participate in the parade!
Independent Learner Day/Teacher PL Day (No School) - November 5th
PBIS School-Wide Student Incentive Day - November 6th
HES Movie Night - November 8th

As a reminder, students at school daily improve academic outcomes. Please make sure your child is at school every day unless he/she is truly sick. Students should miss no more than 18 days of school in a school year.

Morning & Afternoon Dismissal

Morning Arrival & Afternoon Dismissal

The drop-off times in front of the school are below:

7:00 am - Buses

7:05 am - Car Riders

7:45 am - Tardy bell

Morning announcements begin at 7:45.

Car riders:: When picking students up, parents should have the Hawthorne ES Car Rider Tag visible in their car. If the Car Rider Tag is not visible, parents are required to park, come into the building and provide Identification. Thank you for your patience as we simply want to keep your students' safe.

Early Check Out: should occur prior to 1:50 pm.

The pick-up times for dismissal are below:

Bus riders-2:25:pm; Car riders 2:35 pm (front of building after buses) & walkers (Side door)

LUNCH FOR THE 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR

HES will have free lunch this year however, we still need your support with completing the Meal Application Information 2024-2025. Only 1 Application Needed per family:

Please ALL complete this application process even if you plan to bring lunch for your child daily or believe that you will not qualify. This is very important, this impacts funding for Title 1.
