It was a FUN RUN!
Today is the final day to submit donations for our fundraiser! We are still accepting contributions online, as well as cash and check donations.
We are thrilled to share that we have raised $34,812 so far—thank you for your generosity and support!

Once again, thank you for all the incredible work and support you've provided. We couldn’t have achieved this without you!
Bob Jones Academy Recovery Work
We recently sent a gift of $1,431.94 to Bob Jones Academy, a Christian school in South Carolina that was heavily impacted by Hurricane Helene. We are pleased to see that they have already made significant repairs to their facilities and have resumed classes. Please take a moment to watch this short video message of gratitude from their Head of School, expressing appreciation to our St. John's community.
Notes
St. John's School Christmas Special: December 17 and 18, 2024
We are excited to invite you to our long-awaited combined Christmas celebration: Christmas in Harmony. Students from our Kindergarten through Fifth Grade classes will fill the air with joyful music, under the direction of Mrs. Mari Koester and Mrs. Nissa Newsome. Adding to the festive spirit, our middle school drama class, led by Dr. Erica Flesher and Mr. Matthew Walton, and our Handbells Elective, led by Miss Krystal Thompson, will present a beautiful dramatization of the nativity story, bringing the Gospel to life in a moving and memorable way. This joyful celebration will feature many beloved Christian songs, giving you the chance to sing along to cherished carols and reflect on the journey of Joseph and Mary, and the birth of Jesus.
With most of our school participating, we are offering two performances:
- Tuesday, December 17, 6:30 pm
- Wednesday, December 18, 9:15 am
Both shows will require complimentary tickets for entry. If possible, we kindly ask that those with more flexible schedules, including grandparents, consider attending the Wednesday morning presentation. This will help ensure everyone can enjoy the event comfortably. Tickets will be available starting November 1, 2024, in The Panther Post.
We hope you will join us for a time of music, reflection, and celebration of the true meaning of Christmas!
Operation Christmas Child
Have you started packing your Operation Christmas Child shoebox yet? Even the smallest gifts can make a big difference in a child’s life. Whether it’s a toy, school supplies, or something as simple as a toothbrush, each item you pack brings hope and reflects God’s love.
As you pack this week, remember—you’re now an Honorary Missionary, spreading God’s love and joy to children around the world!
Final collection date: Wednesday, 11/20 by 5 PM. Let’s work together to reach our goal of 200 shoeboxes! Drop off in the School Office for the count. Class grade with the most turned in, wins the Grand Prize.
Fun Fact: Since 1993, over 198 million shoeboxes have been packed and delivered to children in more than 160 countries!
And don’t forget—this year, you can also pack a special shoebox online at our St. John's page with family and friends. Let’s make an impact together!
Dia De Los Muertos
As part of our commitment to fostering cultural awareness and meeting the Colorado Academic Standards for World Languages, we are excited to share that during the week of November 1st, your child will have the opportunity to learn about the rich traditions of Dia de los Muertos in their Spanish class.
This Mexican celebration, which honors and remembers loved ones who have passed, will be explored through age-appropriate books that highlight the art, history, and culture surrounding this holiday.
We believe this is a wonderful chance for students to broaden their understanding of different cultures. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
