Hello Elementary Families! Hello Elementary Families!

Happy October! It’s hard to believe we’re already well into fall. Our students have been busy adjusting to their routines, building friendships, and showing great enthusiasm for learning. As the leaves change color, we’re reminded that growth takes time, care, and teamwork—just like our school community!

October Highlights:

Elementary Open House Success: On Wednesday, October 8, our Elementary Open House was a wonderful success! Our students proudly took the lead, guiding their families through the building, exploring classrooms, and introducing their teachers. It was heartwarming to see their excitement and pride as they shared their school experiences.

Thank you to all the families who joined us for this special evening—your presence and support mean so much to our students and staff!

3rd Grade Field Trip – Boston Duck Tour Adventure: On Friday, October 10, our 3rd Grade students and staff had an unforgettable adventure on their field trip to the Boston Duck Tour! They climbed aboard a World War II–style amphibious landing craft that can travel both on land and water.

Students and staff even had a chance to take turns driving the vehicle—of course, with the guide’s help! The tour took them through the heart of Boston, cruising past historic landmarks that make the city known as both the birthplace of freedom and a city of firsts.

After their adventure, students walked to the nearby Gronk Playground to enjoy lunch and playtime. They had a blast exploring all the football-themed play structures!

It was an exciting, educational, and laughter-filled day that everyone will remember!

Lower Elementary Students Enjoy “Leonardo! A Wonderful Show about a Terrible Monster”: On Thursday, October 16, our Lower Elementary students had a fantastic time at the Wheelock Family Theatre, watching the interpreted performance of the play “Leonardo! A Wonderful Show about a Terrible Monster.” The students and staff loved the extremely visual nature of the show, which included puppets, songs and music, and very lively interpretation. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience live theatre and be inspired by creativity and imagination!

Upcoming Field Trips:

LE Field Trip to Discovery Museum: On Monday, November 17, Lower Elementary will be heading on an exciting field trip to the Discovery Museum — at no cost (free admission)!

The Museum will be closed to the public that day and open exclusively for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and KODA visitors, creating a welcoming and inclusive experience for everyone.

Students will have the opportunity to explore, discover, and learn through hands-on exhibits designed to spark curiosity and creativity. It’s sure to be a fun and memorable day, and we’re all looking forward to it!

📌Reminders:

  • Safety Reasons: All visitors must first go to the White House office to get a visitor badge.

  • Late Drop Off and Early Pick Up: When you drop off your child at school later than 8:00 AM or pick up your child earlier before 2:30 PM, you must first go to the White House office. They will let our Elementary department know you are here.
