Head Cheetah's Message

Dear Families,

This week the halls have been bustling with holiday excitement and academic celebrations. The week began with everyone experiencing a fine dining experience during Magical Monday. Magic was sprinkled all through the cafeteria. Children were dressed in their best attire, the cafeteria glistened with snowflakes, candles and beautiful tablecloths. Students' used their best manners while they dined. We are grateful for all the volunteers, our amazing cafeteria staff, and Mrs. Bove, the Director of Food Services, for putting together a magical event. Kindergarteners hosted an ABC Fashion Show in celebration of learning all of their letters and sounds. Students exuded confidence as they walked across the stage modeling the letter vest they worked on creating in class. To say that we are proud of our kindergarteners is an understatement! Much gratitude to the superb kindergarten team and all the staff members that assisted to make the ABC Fashion Show a success.

Classroom tidbits:

  • In kindergarten, students worked on learning about Me, My Family, My Community and Geography.

  • In first grade this week, students worked on completing their How-To books and began the editing and publishing process.

  • In second grade, students learned about solids, liquids and gases.

  • In third Grade, students worked on writing introductions to capture their audience's attention in information pieces.

As is always the case, we truly appreciate your partnership. Have a wonderful weekend!

Best,

Joey and Andrea

Reminders from the Nurse's office

Parents/guardians,

*Please bring in an extra set of seasonally appropriate clothing for your child to keep at school. The occasional accident happens and if your child has their own clothing we know that it will fit them and that they will be comfortable.

*With the colder weather here, please make sure your child also has a coat, gloves and a hat labeled with their names. The nurse's office has very limited clothing to spare in case a change or spare is needed.

*We also ask that you bring a labeled water bottle for your child and they can fill it up throughout the day in the water filling stations as needed.

*Preschool students are required to show proof of vaccination against the flu by December 31st. If you have not done so already, please provide documentation of immunization to the school as soon as possible. We appreciate your assistance,

Nurse Katie and Miss Michelle
