One-Click Shopping: Easily send every required item straight to your online cart at major retailers like Target, Walmart, Amazon, and Staples for effortless checkout or pickup.
WHO IS MY CHILD'S TEACHER?
CHECK ON AUGUST 25 IN INFINITE CAMPUS
Teacher assignments will be officially released for Richmond on August 25th in your Infinite Campus Portal! If you can't log in before then, no worries - class lists will also be posted on the wall during our Meet and Greet Night.
ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL
MORNING ARRIVAL
Students should not arrive prior to 8:10 AM, as there is no staff supervision available before this time. If you require early drop-off, sign up for the YMCA program by reaching out to Ms. Gabby.
The first bell rings at 8:20 AM for students to enter the building, and the second bell rings at 8:27 AM when class officially begins.
If your child arrives after 8:27 AM, all side doors will be locked for security. Late arrivals must head directly to the front office, where Mrs. Wall can let them into the building.
AFTERNOON DISMISSAL
Dismissal is at 3:20 PM. Families picking up on Kernan St. can join the vehicle line and have their child walk to them, but please do not exit your vehicle while in this area.
Any students who have not been picked up by 3:35 PM will be brought to the front office, and staff will make a call to confirm their way home.
Please follow all posted parking signs carefully around the school to avoid receiving a ticket. The Appleton Police Department conducts periodic patrols with camera units in our neighborhood. Traffic violations will result in a ticket mailed directly to your home. Please note that Richmond has no control over these tickets and cannot forgive, pay, or dismiss them. Thank you for helping us keep our drop-off and pick-up areas safe and smooth for everyone!
RICHMOND IS A LATEX-FREE SCHOOL!
The safety and health of our students and staff are our top priorities. Richmond is a strict latex-free environment due to severe allergies. Please ensure that no latex items are brought into the building at any time. This includes rubber wristbands or latex-based toys.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our school environment safe for everyone!
REMINDER - NO FOOD ITEMS FOR BIRTHDAY TREATS
We love birthdays at Richmond! We celebrate at the start of the day, give each birthday student a free book, and sing to them at lunch.
We understand families often like to bring treats, but the district has a policy regarding food. No food items should be brought in for birthdays because we have students with allergies. Instead, if you’d like to celebrate with the class, consider small non-food items such as stickers, pencils, or other fun tokens.
Thank you for helping us keep all students safe while still celebrating their special day!
BE READY FOR PE & SCHOOL DAY SUPRISES!
We want everyone to be ready for a safe and fun school day. Here are a couple of tips:
Gym Shoes: Please bring a pair of gym shoes for PE. Running, jumping, and playing is a lot easier (and safer!) when you have the right shoes. Some kids even keep a pair at school so they’re always ready.
Extra Clothes: Accidents happen—spills, snow gear “leaks,” or muddy puddles. Keeping an extra set of clothes in your backpack (shirt, pants, socks, underwear) can save the day and keep you comfy. Even our big kids sometimes need them!
Donations Welcome: If your family has outgrown gym shoes, shorts, or pants, we’d love to give them a new home at school. These donations help classmates who might need a spare.
Thanks for being prepared and helping each other out—we’re excited for a great year together!
FREE & REDUCED MEAL APPLICATION - PLEASE APPLY!
Both Breakfast and Lunch will be free for all Families for the 2026-2027 school year. However, if you qualify for Free & Reduced, please complete the application along with the Sharing Information with Other Programs form. This form allows the District Food Service program to share your information with your school, which may lead to a waiver of fees in the following areas: School Fees, Instrumental Rental Fees.

INFINITE CAMPUS PARENT PORTAL
Infinite Campus is a district-wide student information system designed to manage attendance, grades, schedules and other information about the students within Appleton Area School District.
In addition, schools post important information on the home page, such as events, notices, etc. The Portal also allows report cards to be viewed and printed.
Parents and Guardians of K-12th grade students designated with legal rights to student records may receive a Portal account. Each parent/guardian with such rights receives their own separate account.

GET A DOCTOR'S NOTE FOR APPOINTMENTS
We know that not all appointments can be scheduled outside of school hours. If your child needs to attend a medical or dental appointment during the school day, please remember to request a doctor’s note from the provider’s office. This helps us make sure your child’s attendance is coded correctly.
