👟 New in PE: Introducing the Eagle Trek Run Club!

We are thrilled to kick off a brand-new running program during K - 5 Physical Education (PE) classes called Eagle Trek, led by our new PE teacher, Coach Hackert! All students are participating as part of their regular PE classes, so there is no sign-up or action needed from parents.

During class, students will complete laps and scan their own run cards to track their distance. To build teamwork, each class will have a collective mileage goal to reach together. As an extra incentive, students will earn a special "toe token" to add to their shoelaces for every single mile they complete.

Be on the lookout for those toe tokens coming home, and be sure to ask your student how many laps they finished this week!

Mandarin Language Club Interest Survey Mandarin Language Club Interest Survey

A group of CCA parents is exploring the possibility of starting an after-school Mandarin Language Club for students in Grades K–8! To see if we have enough participation to launch this fall, we are currently gauging interest via the Google Form linked below.

Taught by an experienced Mandarin teacher, the program would focus on practical communication through age-appropriate conversation, stories, reading, and interactive activities while introducing students to Chinese language and culture. Students of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome, from complete beginners to those who already have some Mandarin skills.

Proposed Details:

  • When: Tentatively offered after school on Fridays (1 hour per class).

  • Dates: Mid/late-September through December 2026.

  • Estimated Cost: Approximately $15 per class. The total would be around $150–$165 for an estimated 10–11 classes, depending on the final start date and the CCA calendar.

If this sounds like a great fit for your student, please take a moment to fill out our interest survey!
