📅 Save the Date: CCA Town Hall & Board Meeting
Tuesday, October 6
Mark your calendars for the upcoming CCA Town Hall on October 6 at 6:00 PM, held right here at CCA! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community leadership groups and hear directly about the exciting future of our school. During the event, we will provide a comprehensive update on CCA’s Strategic Goals and share important insights into our long-term plans for the campus and our students.
Please note that the October Board Meeting will take place immediately following the Town Hall. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing our vision for the years ahead!
Morning Drop-Off Reminder: Doors Open at 7:00 AM
Please be reminded that student drop-off and morning supervision begin at 7:20 AM.
While our doors do open at 7:00 AM, this early entry time is reserved for band students (along with their siblings and carpool riders). We are currently seeing students arriving between 6:45 and 6:55 AM. Please adjust your morning schedules accordingly, as children should not be arriving or waiting outside before supervision begins or before the doors open for their designated time.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students safe and helping our mornings run smoothly!
Crosswalk Volunteers
Help keep our Cherry Creek Academy drop-offs and pick-ups safe and smooth! We are looking for daily Traffic and Crossing Volunteers to assist our community. As a special thank you for taking on this vital role, you will earn double volunteer hours (1:2 hours) for your time!
This is an ongoing, daily opportunity, and no RSVP is needed—simply show up when it works for your schedule.
Morning Shift: 7:20 AM – 8:00 AM
Afternoon Shift: 2:45 PM – 3:45 PM
Next Steps: Just check in at the Front Desk upon arrival.
Thank you for stepping up to keep our students safe and our carlines moving!
Help Needed: Cross Country Team
At home volunteer opportunity: Cross Country Coaches Wong and MacFarland would love to have COACH added to the backs of their CCA polo (polyester) shirts.
If you are interested in this at-home volunteer opportunity please email Meg MacFarland. You can count volunteer hours for purchased supplies ($20=1 hour) in addition to the time needed to apply the lettering.
Parent Teacher Conference Sign Up
Mark your calendars! Parent-teacher conferences are Thursday, September 24 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Friday, September 25 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Please note, there is NO SCHOOL for students on Friday, September 25.

Eagle Trek
👟 New in PE: Introducing the Eagle Trek Run Club!
We are thrilled to kick off a brand-new running program during K - 5 Physical Education (PE) classes called Eagle Trek, led by our new PE teacher, Coach Hackert! All students are participating as part of their regular PE classes, so there is no sign-up or action needed from parents.
During class, students will complete laps and scan their own run cards to track their distance. To build teamwork, each class will have a collective mileage goal to reach together. As an extra incentive, students will earn a special "toe token" to add to their shoelaces for every single mile they complete.
Be on the lookout for those toe tokens coming home, and be sure to ask your student how many laps they finished this week!

Clubs and Activities
Mandarin Language Club Interest Survey
A group of CCA parents is exploring the possibility of starting an after-school Mandarin Language Club for students in Grades K–8! To see if we have enough participation to launch this fall, we are currently gauging interest via the Google Form linked below.
Taught by an experienced Mandarin teacher, the program would focus on practical communication through age-appropriate conversation, stories, reading, and interactive activities while introducing students to Chinese language and culture. Students of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome, from complete beginners to those who already have some Mandarin skills.
Proposed Details:
When: Tentatively offered after school on Fridays (1 hour per class).
Dates: Mid/late-September through December 2026.
Estimated Cost: Approximately $15 per class. The total would be around $150–$165 for an estimated 10–11 classes, depending on the final start date and the CCA calendar.
If this sounds like a great fit for your student, please take a moment to fill out our interest survey!
