Davenport's Weekly Update
Week of April 30, 2023
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Aloha Ohana!
“Friday sees more smiles than any other day of the workweek!”—Kate Summers
Next week is a CELEBRATION! Every day of the week our staff are APPRECIATED, but this upcoming week 5/8-5/12 was designated specifically for TEACHERS! We are Thankful for all that they do for the staff, families, and students of Davenport. As an Educator, they chose this field to EMBRACE, ENGAGE, and EDUCATE our future. It is not an easy task but they get the job done!
Let's take this weekend to think of ALL the wonderful teachers we've encountered both as students and parents. They do so much to positively impact the lives of so many. When you see a TEACHER, ESPECIALLY a Davenport Teacher, please give them a hardy Thank you!
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. White, Principal

A Day In The Life Of A Second Grader
Mrs. White was able to experience the day in the life of a 2nd grader with her buddy Cyborg. They met at the bus stop for a short ride to school and ended with a high five for having a great day!
Her most favorite part of the day was at recess playing ball tag with her 2nd grade friends. Thank you to Mrs. Miles and Ms. Blauvelt for welcoming the "new student". It was fun and educational!
