Celebrating Martin Luther King

Bullying Tips For Families
Learning that your child is facing a bully can trigger a whirlwind of emotions—anger, fear, and deep sadness are all completely valid reactions. It’s only natural to feel protective when your child’s well-being is at stake. However, the best way to support them is to process those feelings first so you can pivot toward a clear, strategic action plan.

New Buffalo Area Schools is committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for all students. As part of this commitment, we are partnering with local law enforcement to help ensure our schools remain nicotine and drug-free. This year, our schools will conduct planned safety sweeps with specially trained detection dogs. These sweeps will include hallways and lockers. We want to assure you that these measures are preventative in nature and are being implemented to reinforce our school community’s shared expectation of a safe and drug-free learning environment.
Thank you for your support as we continue to prioritize the well-being of our students. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact the school office.
