WELCOME! Meet Blazier Primary and Intermediate Parent Support Specialist WELCOME! Meet Blazier Primary and Intermediate Parent Support Specialist

zoom_out_map
Welcome Back Parents and students! As Parent Support Specialists, we commit to serve and guide families to the many services and resources available to help all our children be successful! As your Parent Support Specialist for Blazier Primary and Intermediate, we can assist in several ways, together, you and I can;

  • Find resources you may need- We can help find assistance when needed, refer parents to appropriate agencies for assistance. Learn new things about our school and how to help your child be successful.
  • Become leaders in our school! Link parents with volunteer opportunities, such as, to be part of school committees; Campus Advisory Council (CAC), Parent/Teacher Association (PTA). And/or be a mentor.
  • Become a Parent Volunteer! Volunteers are welcomed and needed! Everyone who volunteers will need to attend a volunteer orientation.
  • Assist with school supplies
  • Home visits
  • Community Outreach

We can’t wait to host parent workshops in the “Parent Nest” to engage our parents in their child’s education this year. The education of our children depends on a successful partnership between you and Blazier. Parental engagement and a constant communication with the teacher/school are key elements in making a difference in the success of your child’s future. That is why your involvement is so important. There is no one like you! We look forward to working with our Blazier families and the community to make Blazier the best part of your child’s life experience.

Sincerely,

Maria Rodriguez - Blazier Primary maria.rodriguez@austinisd.org 512 841-8800 ext. 54893
