Hello Warrior Families,

As we head into next week, we are excited to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week at Warren and CCA! Our teachers work tirelessly each day to support, encourage, and inspire our students, and we look forward to recognizing the incredible difference they make in the lives of our Warriors.

We have several fun activities planned throughout the week, including raffles and special treats for staff. If you or your business would like to contribute a raffle item or donation, we would greatly appreciate your support. Donations can be dropped off at the front office during school hours.

Not able to donate? No problem at all! One of the most meaningful gifts a teacher can receive is a kind note of appreciation. I encourage you to take a moment next week to send an email or message to your child’s teachers and let them know the impact they’ve made.

Thank you for always supporting our staff and community. We truly appreciate our Warrior families!

Melissa Hurst

Principal

Sophomore Parents,

We are opening up Parking Permits privileges to current Sophomores. Traditionally, parking permits are only allowed for Juniors and Seniors but this year we do have additional permits.

If your sophomore has a need to drive to campus, please have them turn in the two attached forms to the APO and purchase a parking permit for $20. Additionally your student will have to bring and present their Drivers License and Insurance Card with their name listed as an additional driver.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Ramos at michael.ramos@nisd.net.

This is the second year of the NISD Student Ambassadors program, which brings together a select group of students, chosen through a rigorous application process, to serve as the "Face and Voice of the District." Facilitated by the Communications Dept., these ambassadors assisted with public relations and communications, representing NISD at school and community events while working alongside NISD Board members and the District’s executive leadership team. Ambassadors gained valuable leadership experience, enhanced communication skills, and positively promoted NISD by engaging with students, families, staff, and the broader community. Two of our very own, Ana Lopez and Sofia Garcia-Nunez were a part of that group.

This year, we received more than 120 applications for just 32 positions—making this a highly competitive process. Another Warren Warrior, Louis Ramirez, is among an elite group of student leaders selected to represent NISD.

American Heart Challenge American Heart Challenge

Students raised $1787 for the American Heart Association. 14 seniors finished the missions and received graduation cords to wear on graduation. There is still time for this year's seniors to apply for scholarships. The deadline is May 29.

Seniors who completed the missions received a cord they can wear at graduation.

City Council Student Opportunity City Council Student Opportunity

There is currently a vacancy on the San Antonio Youth Commission for District 6. The councilman would love if 9th and 10th graders applied.

The commission is a great way for students to advise the City Council on issues that matter to youth and ensure our City programs are aligned with addressing such needs. More info can be found on the flyer or with the following link: https://www.sanantonio.gov/humanservices/about/boardscommission/SAYC#279593750-become-member. We’d prefer a student that lives in the district, but we can verify that on our end through the application.

When visiting the campus, please make sure you have a valid ID with you. It will need to be scanned.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and support in enhancing the safety protocols in our schools.

NISD Returning Student Registration NISD Returning Student Registration

Dear Parent/Guardian,

We are very honored to be working with your child in NISD this year! In preparing for the 2026-27 school year, NISD needs to verify student information for all currently enrolled students by June 1, 2026 to ensure that your child has a space at their current or home campus. If a Returning Student Registration form is submitted after June 1, 2026, it is possible that your child could be sent to another campus if classes become full. During this time, your child’s registration takes priority.

Here’s how to begin:

Go to the NISD Home Access Center (HAC) website https://hac.nisd.net/

Follow the steps below:

If you already have a HAC account:

1) Your LOGIN is the email address to which the message was sent.

2) Your PASSWORD is the same HAC password that you have previously used.

3) After logging in, click on the REGISTRATION tab.

4) Click on Update Enrollment tab

5) Click START

6) The first time you log in you will be asked to certify that you are over 13 years old. You will then enter your student’s birthday to validate the registration account.

7) You will be asked if the student is returning to NISD for the 2026-27 school year. If your child will be returning to ANY NISD school next year, select YES. If your child will NOT be returning to ANY NISD school, select NO and follow the question prompt.

8) Click NEXT.

9) Review your child’s information and update as needed. Click SUBMIT to complete the registration process for your child.

10) If you have multiple students, click on the CHANGE STUDENT icon on the far right of your student’s name in HAC, select another student and follow the same steps above. Review data and complete the registration process for each student.

If you have any trouble accessing HAC or you do not see one of your children, please contact the school office and ask to speak with the Attendance Secretary as they may be able to assist you with this process. If the campus is not able to resolve your issue, please complete the form using the link below and District staff can reset your password or link students in a family if necessary.

HAC Assistance Request Form

Once again, we want to stress the importance of verifying your student's information by June 1, 2026.

We love seeing our parents and community at all of our athletic events. We want to remind spectators to cheer on our students and teams in a positive way. We also want to remind everyone that Texas Senate Bill 2929, which was passed this past Summer, added a new provision that allows officials to remove a spectator without any previous verbal warning.
