Best Practice
Plan ahead for emergency events or evacuations (i.e. fire, active shooter, tornado, etc.)
- Make sure your students are aware of the emergency plans
- Acclimate them to the device, method, and plans.
- It needs to be more than just the once a month campus-wide drill
- The student needs to know the plan of what to do in various locations throughout their schedule & when they are traveling independently on campus (such as going to the restroom or taking a note to the office).
