๐ Fall Break is Here! ๐
Jennings County School Corporation will be on Fall Break from October 6th through October 10th. This well-deserved time away from the classroom is a chance for students, staff, and families to rest, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of the fall season.
Fall Break gives students a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect on the first quarter of the school year, and return refreshed for the weeks ahead. Whether youโre traveling, spending time with family, or simply enjoying a slower pace at home, we hope this break brings plenty of joy and relaxation.
We encourage students to use the time to read a good book, explore the outdoors, or just enjoy some downtime with friends and family. When we return, weโll be ready to jump back in and finish the semester strong!
On behalf of the JCMS Faculty and Staff, we wish you a safe, restful, and wonderful Fall Break. ๐
๐พ JCMS Penny Wars! ๐พ
Itโs time to empty out those piggy banks and raid the couch cushionsโJCMS Penny Wars are here! From Thursday, September 25th through Thursday, October 2nd, students will have the chance to rally their SRTs, raise funds for our Student Activities Fund, and battle it out for the ultimate prize: a pizza party! ๐๐ฅ
How It Works:
-
Pennies = Positive Points! Drop your pennies into your SRTโs jar to help your class climb to the top.
-
Sabotage with Silver & Bills! Nickels, dimes, quarters, and even dollar bills count against other SRTs. Thatโs rightโyou can bring down the competition by dropping these into their jars.
-
Daily Updates! Totals and leading SRTs will be announced each day on the Panther Windows, so keep an eye out to see where your team stands.
The Prize
The winning 7th-grade SRT and the winning 8th-grade SRT will each score a pizza party lunch on Friday, October 3rdโthe perfect way to head into Fall Break with a victory celebration. ๐๐
Why It Matters:
Not only is Penny Wars a fun competition, but it also supports our school community. All funds raised will go directly to our Student Activities Fund, helping us bring more exciting events and opportunities to JCMS students.
So Panthersโdig deep, strategize smart, and bring the energy. Every penny counts, and every strategy matters. Letโs make this Penny Wars the best one yet!
๐๐พ 8th Grade Vision Screenings ๐พ ๐
Vision screenings for the 8th grade students will begin this week! They will take place starting September 30th through October 2nd. If you are a student that wears prescribed glasses and/or contacts, be sure to wear them to the vision screenings. Vision screenings will take place during PE classes.
