🐉 Celebrating Our PRO Award Winners! 🏆
Each week, TMS staff recognize students who go above and beyond in demonstrating our P.R.O. expectations: Perseverance, Respect, and Ownership. Students who earn a PRO Award are celebrated for the positive choices they make and the example they set for our Dragon community.
We are so proud of this week’s PRO Award recipients! Keep leading the way, Dragons!
Upcoming Changes to YouTube Access for K–8 Students
Beginning November 13, Thompson School District will adjust how students in grades K–8 access YouTube through their district accounts. Students will no longer be able to visit YouTube directly to search for or browse videos. However, they will still be able to watch educational videos that their teacher has selected and shared through Google Classroom or in Google Slides. Teachers will continue to have access to YouTube to find and select videos that support classroom instruction.
By providing videos directly within classroom learning activities, teachers can guide students toward content that aligns with their learning goals.

An update from ITS
ITS is going to be more strict on chromebook graffiti moving forward, and there will be charges moving forward for:
Gum wrappers stuck on the chromebook.
Sharpie on the chromebook and the cases.
Stickers directly on the chromebook (Stickers on the case are ok).
Coloring on the keys.
Most of this graffiti can be removed, but if it gets turned in graffitied there will be a charge for a replacement part of the graffitied area.
Standard Response Protocol
Our school utilizes the Standard Response Protocol (SRP). This framework uses clear, standardized language—Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter—so all staff, students, and first responders share a common response during any situation.
Our goal is to maintain a secure, supportive environment where students feel safe to learn and grow. These drills are age-appropriate, calm, and framed as positive practice. You can help by having a quick, reassuring conversation with your child at home about why we practice emergency plans at school—just like we practice fire safety at home!
Help us keep our school safe, smiling, and running smoothly! If your student is arriving after 8:50am (or 9:50 AM on Wednesdays), please walk them into the main office to check them in. The same goes for early check-outs!
Here’s what you’ll need when you visit:
Your ID: Please have your photo ID ready to show at the front door before entering.
Approved Contacts Only: For safety, only adults listed as an emergency contact or authorized pick-up in our system will be allowed to check out students.
School Fees
Instructional fees for the 2026–2027 school year are now available. These fees are calculated based on the actual costs of consumable learning items and workbooks, as well as the purchase price and lifespan of intermediate textbooks. All collected fees support our district's general fund to help replenish classroom texts and essential learning materials for our students.
Payment Options: Payments can be made quickly through the Parent Portal, or in person at the front office using cash, check, or card.
Fee Waivers: Fees are automatically waived for families participating in the Free and Reduced Meal Program & SNAP. If you qualify but see a fee on your account, please drop off a copy of your qualification letter at the front office so we can update your balance.
Please reach out to the front office if you have any questions or need assistance with your account!
