CES Happenings

Dear CES Family

Even though we're running a little thin with emergency response resources in Plumas County, we get a lot of support from our local first responders and this week was no exception. Thanks to Peninsula Fire for showing up to spend some time with out first-grade students. Thanks in particular to Chief Gray and his crew for taking the time to visit CES.

It's Homecoming Week at CJSHS next week and, per tradition, we will have a mini spirit week, with dress-up days on Wednesday (Beach Day), Thursday (PJ Day) and Friday (Green & White Day), capped off with the CJSHS homecoming parade next Friday, October 17. Students will be out in front of the school for this starting at 11:10 a.m. and you are welcome to join us.

Congratulations to our Students of the Week!

Each week at our Monday Morning Meetings we have a special time where we honor our students of the week. Each teacher can select a student that she deems worthy of recognition for a variety of reasons such as being responsible, kind, working hard, being a good friend and standing up for someone when they need support. The students selected this past week for recognition were Leo Alvarez, Hazelei Patatuchi, Triston Haver, Cooper Outland and Beau Hansken. Congratulations and thanks for being such great Volcanoes!
