High Tides at Hudson Bend
Our Buccaneers are making waves and we’re here to celebrate it! Stay connected to our campus with a weekly look at the great things happening across The Bend.
In a College and Career Exploration class, students participated in a hands-on teamwork challenge where they were tasked with building the tallest possible tower using only dry spaghetti, string, and marshmallows. This activity taught an important lesson about collaboration, communication, and problem-solving. Students quickly realized that success depended not just on individual ideas, but on how well they listened to one another, divided responsibilities, and adapted their plans when structures collapsed. The challenge highlighted how effective teamwork—an essential skill in both college and future careers—requires creativity, patience, and the ability to learn from failure together.
LTISD Selective Enrollment Interest Form is Open!
Enrollment interest forms for LTISD Out-of-District transfers are now open! Hudson Bend Middle School is proud to welcome students from outside the LTISD attendance zone through this program. Do you know a family who would love to attend one of the best middle schools in the Austin area but doesn’t live in our zone? Tell them to apply to HBMS and become part of the Husky community! Go Bucs!
Did an HBMS teacher or staff member do something outstanding for your child? Use the Form below to submit a CAV Kudo! Thank you for helping encourage our amazing HBMS staff!
