From the Principal's Den
Dear Families,
Every day of learning counts! We miss our students when they aren't here, and my top priority is ensuring every child has the support, instruction, and encouragement they need to thrive.
We know family schedules can be busy. While we ask that you try to schedule medical and personal appointments outside of school hours whenever possible, we realize that isn't always feasible. If your child has an appointment during the school day, please bring them in after their appointment finishes, or pick them up early right before it starts.
Even if a student is here for just a portion of the school day, it is not counted as an absence.
Attending even part of the day keeps your child connected to their learning and plays a vital role in preventing chronic absenteeism—defined as missing 10% or more of the school year (which is just 18 days total across the entire year).
We want what is best for our students, and every hour they spend learning and connecting with their teachers and classmates makes a lasting difference. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school community strong, present, and growing!
Warmly,
Dr. Chavarin

What's Roaring At Central
Red Ribbon Week
On Monday, our school united in red to show our commitment to a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. During recess, students put their dedication into action by tracing their hands to pledge their commitment to making positive, drug-free choices.
On Tuesday, our students swooped into action for Red Ribbon Week by dressing up as their favorite superheroes! It was inspiring to see so many creative costumes as we celebrated the power of making healthy, drug-free choices. Check out these everyday heroes taking a stand!
Enrichment in Action: 206 Cheetahs Learning Beyond the Bell!
We are thrilled to celebrate the success of our after-school enrichment programs! Thanks to a fantastic EXPLORE team, 206 students are currently staying after school to discover new passions, build skills, and connect with peers. Thank you to our staff and families for supporting these engaging opportunities for our students!
