🐻 Brilliance Family Update | Week 3 – Let’s Keep Shining!
Dear Brilliance Families,
Welcome to another incredible week at The Brilliance School!
This week, we celebrated our scholars during our first Awards Ceremony of the school year! We were so excited to recognize scholars who are demonstrating our PRIDE pillars—Purpose, Resiliency, Integrity, Discipline, and Excellence. Congratulations to all of our award recipients! We look forward to seeing even more Brilliance Bears recognized next month.
As we prepare to enter Week 3, here are a few important reminders for families.
📚 Attendance Matters — Every Day Counts!
Our small groups and academic interventions have officially begun. These targeted groups are an important part of helping scholars strengthen their reading and math skills.
Please make sure your scholar is:
- At school every day
- Arriving on time and ready to learn
- Completing and turning in assignments
- Getting their required reading and intervention minutes
Missing school means missing valuable instructional time that can be difficult to replace. If your scholar must be absent, please email their teacher and request any missed assignments and make-up work.
📝 Way to Go, Bear Spellers!
Our scholars completed their spelling tests this week, and we want to give a BIG shout-out to all of our Bear Spellers who earned 100%! 🌟
Remember, spelling tests are given weekly. Parents, please review your scholar's spelling words beginning on Monday and have them practice throughout the week. A few minutes of practice each evening can make a huge difference!
If your scholar is absent on the day of a spelling test, please communicate with their teacher regarding a make-up test.

Parents, we need your continued partnership. Please check in with your scholar about their homework and assignments, communicate with their teacher when you have classroom questions, and make daily and on-time attendance a priority.
