In Forensics, we have been using a program called Faces 4.0 to create facial composites based on eyewitness testimonies. Each student had the opportunity to play the role of both an eyewitness and a forensic artist during this project. The eyewitness was given 30 seconds to examine a photo of a random person’s face and then described the person’s features from memory. Using those descriptions, the forensic artist worked to construct a facial composite through the program. To evaluate the results, side-by-side comparisons were taken of the original photos and the student-created composites. Students requested that a contest be held to determine which facial composite is the most accurate—and members of our Administrative Team were honored to serve as the judges!
