Vacations During School
Please keep in mind that vacations that necessitate a child(ren) to be absent from school are considered unexcused, and teachers will provide missed schoolwork upon the child(ren)s return to school. The dynamic nature of the classroom is integral to the learning process and cannot be replicated.
Valentine's Day Reminder
Many of our classrooms exchange Valentines, and your child(ren)'s teacher will communicate their specific grade level plan. However, please keep in mind that children cannot exchange food/candy if they choose to participate.
Student Pick-Up Reminder
Vinal Preschool dismisses at 3:10 PM, and families follow the same procedures that our K-5 families follow. If you are picking up a child in K-5 and arrive before 3:15 PM, please park in a designated spot before joining the pick-up loop so that our PreK families can access their children.
South Shore VoTech Building Project
A Public Forum will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the Norwell Public Library large meeting room from 6:30pm to 7:30 on the proposed South Shore Regional Vocational Technical School Building Project that will be voted on at the regional election scheduled for January 25, 2025. South Shore Regional Vocational Technical High School MSBA Building Project Information
The Vinal PTO is thrilled to share that Crocodile River Music will spend two days as artists in residence at Vinal School on January 23rd and 24th! In addition to a high-energy, interactive all-school assembly concert, students will also experience grade level specific, hands-on workshops in African drumming or dance. In partnership with African Arts in Education (AAiE), Crocodile River Music will also design a month-long African art installation at Vinal. The Crocodile River Music assembly last year was a huge hit, and the Vinal PTO is so excited to grow this in-school program and support this Worcester-based non-profit in their mission to connect audiences with African artists and cultures through performance and education!
Special thank you to the Norwell Cultural Council for their support of this program through a grant. The remaining cost of this enrichment program was paid for by the Vinal PTO.
