Note from Mr. Dubinsky
Dear Briar Glen families,
I would like to express how grateful I am to have led such an amazing community of students, families, and staff for the past 15 years. It has been an exciting and gratifying adventure for me! I’m incredibly proud of the many achievements and accomplishments of our Briar Glen students in the 2025-26 school year.
This year, there were so many fun events that students will always remember. We continued many successful traditions such as our family nights, book fair, drama performance, PTC events, and, of course, the fun run. Thanks to the PTC, we also brought in an unforgettable BMX assembly.
Our school year ended with a wonderful award ceremony filled with pride and the celebration of student accomplishments. We’re so proud of all of our students and their successes.
To our students: you are the reason I have loved Briar Glen all these years. I have watched you grow from kindergartners to fifth graders and beyond. Along the way, you taught me about resilience, curiosity, and empathy. I encourage you to continue to work hard, because I truly believe hard work pays off.
To our staff, you all are simply amazing! Your dedication and all-hands-on-deck approach is second to none. The relationships you have created with students and families have built a foundation of trust with this community and prove your love for all our Bulldogs.
To the Briar Glen families, thank you for trusting us with your children. A school is as strong as the community that supports it, and Briar Glen is a perfect example of how a community can uplift a school.
Leaving Briar Glen is difficult, but I will walk away believing we made a positive impact on our students, staff, and families. I’m exceedingly proud of the work that has been accomplished through the years, and I truly hope our paths cross again.
Thank you for 15 wonderful years as the principal of Briar Glen Elementary School.
Mitch Dubinsky
Principal

🚨 Please complete 2026-27 registration as soon as possible
Thank you to the families who have registered for the 2026-27 school year. If you have not yet finished registering, please complete that step as soon as possible.
Families should use the individualized “SnapCode” that was sent in the U.S. mail to finish registering. If you did not receive your SnapCode, or you misplaced your SnapCode, please contact our school to re-prove residency.
It is important to complete registration as soon as possible so the district can plan for staffing and supplies. Delaying registration could mean your student is not able to attend their neighborhood school. More info: https://bit.ly/3PXiVhJ
Lunch accounts: unused money rolls over, be sure to turn off auto payments
Reminder: If you have automatic monthly deposits set up for your students’ lunch account, those deposits will continue over the summer unless you turn them off through MySchoolBucks.
Any unused money in your student’s MySchoolBucks lunch account will automatically roll over to the next school year. Families of current eighth-grade students will need to contact CCSD 89 Accounting Coordinator Wendy Nadeau at (630) 469-8900, extension 3507, or wnadeau@ccsd89.org to request that funds be transferred to a sibling or request a refund check for the remaining funds.
We still have yearbooks available for purchase
The office will have a limited quantity of extra yearbooks at the cost of $17 each.
Please note that yearbooks will be sold on a first come, first served basis and we are unable to hold copies without payment. Cash only, please.
