Dear Richardson Families,
I wanted to share some important news with you all. I have been selected for a temporary opportunity to support our district office as the Acting Coordinator of Special Education for Elementary while the current coordinator is on a short leave of absence. This assignment will begin on November 2, 2026, with an anticipated return shortly before or after winter break. Our campus will be in great hands while I am away. Dr. Tera Black from South High will be stepping in as Acting Principal to lead alongside Gregor. I am honored to be selected for this opportunity, but I will miss RMS while I am away. While my daily focus will shift temporarily, I still plan to attend major school events.
Moving on to what is happening at RMS: thank you to everyone who supported us for the Skechers Walk! We raised $6,015 to purchase materials for reading, electives, and PE. Way to go, Rattlesnakes! Additionally, thank you to everyone who joined us for Handbag Bingo. A great time was had by all!
Congratulations to Mrs. Staci Resnick for being selected as our parent representative for School Site Council. She received 71% of the vote! Our first meeting will be held this Tuesday, October 27, at 3:30 PM.
Call for Career Day Speakers: Richardson is excited to host Career Day on March 16, 2027! We are seeking family and community members willing to share their professional journeys with our students. If you or someone you know is interested in participating, please fill out the interest form by January 31, 2027. We will contact all interested presenters with further information. https://forms.gle/okGRsV5fVrpYz2W69
