What to Purchase for the school year?

We do not have a ‘list’ of required supplies for our high school students. We do recommend that students “stock up” at back-to-school sales on the following items:

  • Spiral notebooks, college ruled, one subject
  • Calculators: Students now primarily use DESMOS on their iPad because they are allowed to use DESMOS on AP Tests and the ACT and MCA’s. However, if you wish to purchase a graphing calculator, please purchase a TI-83 or TI-84.
  • Ballpoint pens, black & red
  • Protractor and compass for Geometry students
  • #2 Pencils or mechanical pencils
  • Pocket folders. (Many students choose to match colors of notebook & folder to a specific class)
  • A stylus for use with the iPad
  • External battery for charging iPad as needed during the day is helpful
  • Please know that we have free school supplies available in the Counseling Office for our students.

Schedules Schedules

zoom_out_map

Eagan High School student schedules will be available in Infinite Campus at 3 PM on Wednesday, August 20th. These schedules are tentative and may be subject to change as we continue to balance classes. If a student does not have a schedule that means that they should have an appointment to register for classes next week.

Schedule corrections will be considered for the following reasons only:

  1. Clerical Error (no class during specific period, duplicate classes, etc.)
  2. Failed a prerequisite class
  3. Senior class required for graduation
  4. Special Education need
  5. Inappropriate level (drop from honors to regular)
  6. Drop an elective for a study hall.

If your student is considering dropping a band or choir course, they must contact Mr. Pearson (band) or Mr. Cox (choir) before being approved for that change. We highly recommend that students stay in these courses as the directors have plans to provide for an amazing year for your students.

If your student meets one of these criteria, please click the link below by August 29 and it will link the schedule correction request form.

Congrats Ankit! Congrats Ankit!

Each year, Dakota Electric selects five high school students from ISD 196 to attend the annual Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. This past July, Eagan High School’s Ankit Mukhopadhyay was among those chosen to participate in this incredible experience.

While on the Youth Tour, one student from each state is selected to serve on the NRECA Youth Leadership Council—a prestigious honor recognizing leadership and engagement in the electric cooperative industry. We are proud to share that Ankit was selected to represent Minnesota for the coming year!

As part of this role, Ankit returned to Washington, D.C. last July for a special leadership workshop focused on electric cooperatives and youth advocacy.

Congratulations, Ankit! We are so proud of you and all that you’ve accomplished!
