β½ RMS World Cup Tournament! π
Students enjoyed an exciting World Cup tournament during lunch, culminating last Friday, October 9! For over a month, students competed once a week, showing teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit.
Congratulations to our winning teams! π Thank you to everyone who participated and made this tournament a success!
ππ¬ Science Spotlight: Stop-Motion Videos and Solving Global Warming!
Our STEM scientists became storytellers and filmmakers as they created their own stop-motion videos focused on solving global warming! π±
Students designed and built their own sets, characters, and backgrounds to bring their ideas to life, using creativity and teamwork to tell a story about climate change and possible solutions.
Through this hands-on project, students combined science, engineering, and storytelling to explore how people can help protect our planet. We loved seeing their imagination and problem-solving skills in action! ππ
It was so much fun watching students turn simple materials into working vehicles! ππ¨

The Tech Time Review Family Survey is now open
This is an important opportunity for families to share their experiences, questions, concerns, and recommendations about student technology use during the school day. Survey responses will be considered alongside student and staff input, the districtβs technology-use audit, research, and community forum discussions.
The survey will remain open through Sunday, October 11, and the findings will be reviewed during the Tuesday, October 20, community forum. It should take about 10 minutes to complete. The findings become more useful when we hear from a broad range of families, so please complete the survey and encourage other VUSD families to take it as well.
