Our new app has been live for a week, and we're excited to share that almost half of MCS parents and guardians have already signed into our new app and connected to their students' teachers!

If you haven’t logged in yet, now is the time to get connected. Be sure to activate your account and connect to your student(s) so you can begin communicating directly with teachers and staff and receive important classroom and school updates. Look for your invitation by email from accounts@thrillshare.com or text message from 20819, then follow the link to activate your account. If you haven't received an email and text, it is likely because your contact information with the school is not correct, so please reach out so we can correct it!

Already downloaded the app? Make sure you’re signed in and can see your student(s) under Rooms and Messages.

Our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration continues with a look at Revolución Educativa (RevED), an organization helping strengthen education and family engagement across Kansas City. RevED works to empower Latino families and communities to have a strong voice in education. Through family resources, advocacy support, educational programs, and opportunities for community engagement, they help parents and caregivers navigate school systems, advocate for their students, and become active partners in their children’s education.

Their work strengthens the connection between families, schools, and the broader community and helps ensure that Latino families are informed, supported, and represented in conversations about education across Kansas City.

Join us for this year's Fall Festival on Friday, October 23, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. right on the campus of Midtown Community School!

We’re planning a fun evening for the whole family featuring trunk-or-treating, games and activities, music, food, prizes, and more! We’ll share additional details as the event gets closer, but for now, mark your calendars and plan to join us for a great evening with our school community.

Please help us make the Fall Festival a success! We’re looking for families and community members to host trunks, run game booths, donate candy, and assist with setup and cleanup. Community partners and area businesses are also invited to participate by hosting a trunk or activity.
