NOVA swimmers delivered an outstanding performance at LC Central District Championships, capturing the team title with lightning-fast swims, countless personal bests, and incredible team energy throughout the four-day meet. From the first race to the final event, teammates, coaches, and families created an electric atmosphere that inspired athletes to race their hardest.
The finals sessions were a highlight of the meet, with packed stands and enthusiastic cheering fueling outstanding swims across every age group. Swimmers earned personal bests, achieved new time standards, and qualified for higher-level meets, reflecting months of hard work and dedicated training.
This championship is another milestone in NOVA's continued success, showcasing the talent, depth, team spirit, and commitment that define our program.
Congratulations to all of our swimmers, coaches, and families on an incredible team accomplishment!

Help us fill the Donor Wall
NOVA Families -
Every day, NOVA swimmers benefit from the vision and generosity of the families who came before them and helped make our Regency home a reality. While our doors are open and our programs are thriving, our capital campaign is not quite finished. One final arrow remains on the donor wall that lines our hallway, waiting to be filled with the names of the families who will help complete this journey.
By making a pledge or donation by July 31, your family can become a permanent part of NOVA’s history while investing in its future. Pledge Here Donate NOW
The opportunities your swimmer enjoys today were made possible by others who believed in NOVA’s mission. Now, together, we can finish what we started and ensure that generations of swimmers to come can continue to elevate.
With gratitude, Julie Farney

NOVA's 2026 Long Course meet schedule is posted to the NOVA website HERE!
The last practice of NOVA’s 2025-2026 season is July 21, 2026. On July 27, 2026, all swimmers will be coded as “Waiting for Approval” in SportsEngine until the registration process is completed for the new season.
Registration documents will be emailed on Tuesday July 28th. This is a change from previous years, so please make sure that the email associated with your SportsEngine account is current and able to receive emails from novabusinessoffice@novaswim.org.
Your registration email will include a letter with your swimmer(s) recommended group, 2026-27 rates, and 2026-27 practice schedule.
Once you have received your recommendation, you will need to log into SportsEngine and find the blue circle “2026-27 Registration.” Complete each step of the registration process, ending with payment of the $125 registration fee using a credit card that will be kept on file.
We strongly recommend completing registration on a computer rather than a phone or tablet, as the process is generally easier and more reliable.
As registrations are completed, your swimmers will be coded as “Active.” Registering early will ensure your swimmer is activated in time to receive preseason emails from coaches with important group-specific information before the season begins.
12 and Under PPOW
Our 12 & Under PPOW is Harper Brown.
Harper usually presents herself as a very quiet presence in AGB. She's the type of kid who keeps her head low, concentrating on getting the job done everyday at practice. And speaking of practice, she has shown her dedication by maintaining above average attendance throughout the season. She finished the short course season with 8 B times, and through her continued hard work this spring and summer, she ended the long course season with 1 BB time and 10 B times. When she was presented with the PPOW yesterday at practice, it was clear that her teammates in AGB also felt she was well deserving of this recognition.
Way to be a leader for AGB Harper!
13 and Over PPOW
Our 13 & over PPOW is Senior Dev. Silver's Layla Spahalic Velasquez.
Layla has attacked each practice this season with determination and a positive attitude. She leads by example each day knowing each detail of the practice and executing it to the best of her ability. Layla's hard work was reflected in her meet results at District champs where she won the 200 back and 100 free and collected Age Group Champs cuts in the 200 IM, 200 back, and 100 free. We can't wait to see what Layla can accomplish next.
Congratulations Layla!
