Required Forms

Parents/Guardians please make sure you have completed all required forms. We need these filled out every year, even if the information has not changed from last year. You must still "submit" the form for it to be considered complete. Incomplete forms may prevent you from receiving important school notifications, including snow day announcements and other school events.

Important Notices Regarding Buses! Important Notices Regarding Buses!

  • During pick up the bus will not make a second stop at the front of the school to pick up students that "missed" the bus in the back. Parents will have to pick up students at the school
    • Please talk to your student about the importance of listening to the end of the day announcements.
  • Primary and Elementary School students need to be met at the bus stop.
    • For safety reasons, the buses will not be dropping students off on the second pass. The planned stop is the safest location for a child to get off the bus and, in most cases, is on the same side of the road as the house. Waiting for the second pass can put the child at risk when crossing the street.
  • Drivers have been instructed to bring students back to school if they are not met at the planned stop.

First Day Forms! First Day Forms!

If you have not already done so, please complete the first day forms online and any materials sent home (like teacher requested items). We need to ensure we have up to date information.

Reminders Reminders

Students should not be bringing in toys, fidgets, stuffed animals, or squishees into school

A classroom teacher will reach out if there is a special occasion that allows these items. Otherwise, they are not allowed in school. They are distractions and becoming an increasing issue. Please leave them at home, and thank you for your cooperation.

Only Water and in Secure Containers

Please send your student(s) into school with only water and in a non breakable container. We have had numerous spills with non-water drinks requiring extra cleaning. Students should be drinking water during the school day. The container should not be made of glass or other fragile material.

The PTO is looking for parent volunteers to assist with PTO sponsored events! The PTO helps out our school TREMENDOUSLY by sponsoring activities, fun family nights, field day, in school enrichments and even helps fund student rewards and prizes throughout the year. They couldn't do all that they do without the help of parent volunteers. We also have a few parents whose children are aging out of the elementary school in the next year, so we need parents to fill their spots. If you're interested in volunteering, please contact Katie Wall at DouglasSchoolsPTO@gmail.com.

The PTO serves both the Primary and Elementary school. Below is a link to their webpage.
