I hope you're enjoying a fun and relaxing summer! Now that we're about half way through, it's time to share a few important updates! If you missed our half-day 6th grade orientation this month, all handouts and information are posted on the FMS website.

¡Espero que estés disfrutando de un verano divertido y relajante! Ahora que estamos a la mitad, ¡es hora de compartir algunas actualizaciones importantes! Si se perdió nuestra orientación de medio día para sexto grado este mes, todos los folletos y la información se publican en el sitio web de FMS.
En este breve boletín encontrará:

Now that we're right in the middle of summer, if your student could benefit from some opportunities to keep their reading and math skills sharp, we are offering the following optional activities:
Reading: Visit the FMS English Department website to find reading activities and access to online reading materials.
Math: Complete the activities associated the math course your student is taking this school year, then check answers with the associated answer key! Students are encouraged to write out their work on paper. Rising 6th grade students that completed Compacted Math 5/6 should complete the activities for Grade 7 AMP7+.
Ahora que estamos en pleno verano, si su estudiante podría beneficiarse de algunas oportunidades para mantener sus habilidades de lectura y matemáticas perfeccionadas, ofrecemos las siguientes actividades opcionales:
Lectura: visite el sitio web del Departamento de Inglés de FMS para encontrar actividades de lectura y acceder a materiales de lectura en línea.
Matemáticas: Complete las actividades asociadas al curso de matemáticas que su estudiante está tomando este año escolar, luego verifique las respuestas con la clave de respuestas asociada. Se anima a los estudiantes a escribir su trabajo en papel. Los estudiantes entrantes al sexto grado que completaron Matemáticas compactadas 5/6 deben completar las actividades para el grado 7 AMP7+.
