February Message
Selma Families,
Happy February! This month we celebrate kindness, love of learning, and growth as our students continue to shine both academically and socially. February may be a shorter month, but it is full of meaningful moments in our classrooms.
Throughout the month, students will engage in activities that emphasize kindness, empathy, and respect as we recognize Kindness and Friendship through classroom discussions and special activities. We will also celebrate Black History Month by learning about influential leaders, innovators, and everyday heroes who have shaped our world.
February is a wonderful time to remind students that learning is a team effort between school and home. Thank you for continuing to read with your child, practice math skills, and encourage curiosity every day. Your partnership truly makes a difference!
As always, please reach out if you have questions or need support. We appreciate your continued trust and involvement in our school community.
Wishing you and your family a joyful February!
Warm regards,
Dr. Melissa Martinez
Principal

Arrival & Dismissal Traffic Reminders
Selma families please be sure that we are following our traffic plan for arrival and dismissal.
- Please do not drop off students in the bus lane and staff parking,
- At arrival please do not park in the car line and walk up to the door, we need to keep the car rider line moving, if your students need help, our staff will help them out of the car
- At dismissal it is important to have your car tag to ensure the safety of our students. The safety of all is important to us so we also ask you not to exit your vehicle while actively in the dismissal lane.
- All walkers should walk home safely along the sidewalk, it is not a car rider pick up location.
- We do not allow early dismissal after 2:30 and walk ups during the time of dismissal.
Please be sure you have your blue card on the dash of your vehicle, if you do not have it, we will ask you to park and come inside to school to receive a new card with your identification.
