OAE Parent/Carer Bulletin
Exceptional Education at the Heart of Enfield

Date Published- Friday 25th April 2025
Principals Note
Oasis Academy Enfield is a GOOD school in all areas.
We are so proud as an Academy and as a community for achieving a Good Provider in all areas under Ofsted.
Ofsted inspected all areas of the Academy and found:
The Quality of Education Good
Behaviour and attitudes Good
Personal development Good
Leadership and management Good
Sixth-form provision Good
Which means we are an Ofsted Good Provider.
The report also acknowledges the impact of our improvement work over the past year, particularly in strengthening our curriculum and enhancing the quality of learning. The Ofsted report celebrates the Academy’s high standards of behaviour, noting that students “understand and meet” our high expectations and “pupils’ positive and respectful behaviour and attitudes reflect the Enfield Way.” Inspectors also praised the Academy’s commitment to personal development, with students benefitting from enrichment activities, such as dance club, choir and computer programming, alongside meaningful opportunities for careers guidance and cultural engagement.
We are so excited to continue on our journey to outstanding in all areas and be a school, in the local community that everyone is proud of.
GCSE and A-Levels Countdown
PSG Football Academy
We are really excited about a potential new partnership for OAE, with the world famous PSG Football Club. We are hoping to be the North London Hub for the PSG Football Academy, from September 2025.
The first stage of the partnership process is to find out how many of our students would wish to take part by registering their interest using the QR codes linked below.
We are looking for keen sports students. We are looking for all levels of football experience from beginners to currently playing regularly for a local team.
The level of experience is not what the trial is for at this stage, we are simply trying to find out how many of our students are interested in taking part after school, on our site. We are looking for all age groups from Y7-13.
Don't miss out - sign up today!
Nut Free Academy
Please be reminded that under no circumstances should nuts or any food containing nuts be bought into the academy.
The academy is a nut free school, and we have students with severe life-threatening nut allergies.
Attendance
The Academy attendance target is 96%. We are currently at 92.3%. Your support in ensuring that you child attends school everyday is essential in securing success for them. Every day missed, means that opportunities to learn are missed and the chance of success is reduced.

School Policies - Our Expectations and Standards
Uniform
Students are expected to attend the Academy in full school uniform each day.
Students are expected to wear formal skirts and trouser, with skirts being knee length and trousers word around the waist.
Students will be rewarded with L points for consistently meeting our high standards and C points if they are choosing to persistently fail to meet our high standards. If your child has a uniform issue, please contact the Academy via info@oasisenfield.org and we will support them to be dressed correctly each day. Students get the opportunity to borrow items from our uniform shop, each day, to ensure that they start the day well. This is located in the Oasis Community Space on the A floor and is open from 8am - 8.20am each day.
Full uniform details are found on our website:
Community Expectations
At OAE we embody our expectations in everything we do. We do this through our behaviours and attitudes, modelling to the young people at OAE and expecting to see the same high standards from them.
Transport for London (TfL)
Anti-social behaviour at Edmonton Green Bus Station
Transport for London’s Compliance, Policing, Operations and Security team have written to all schools in Enfield to inform parents of the expectations of young people on TfL. They have received reports of students misbehaving at Edmonton Green Bus Station. Bus Station staff have reported that students wearing our academy uniform, roller skating around the station. When station staff have spoken to the students about their behaviour, they can became rude and have been know to swear at staff. This behaviour typically occurs Monday to Friday, 16:00-19:00.
These behaviours do not only disrupt the travel experience for other passengers but also pose significant safety risks. They are also behaviours that do not meet with our high expectations, our value of respect and bring the Academy into disrepute. We pride ourselves on being a community school, which means that we expect the students from our community to represent themselves as active and respectful citizens in the community too.
Both OAE and TfL are hoping that with your co-operation, as parents/carers we can avoid this type of behaviour being displayed again.
Transport for London (TfL) and the London Underground (LU) have devised a Behaviour Code which they expect all young people to adhere to at all times when they are travelling on public transport. This code is in place to ensure everyone travels safely with due respect for fellow passengers, staff and property.
If a young person is found to be in breach of the code they may be warned about their behaviour, have a letter sent to their parents and/or they may face police action. TfL will be informed of all incidents of misconduct to consider the withdrawal of the young persons free travel concession.
If a young person is found to be in breach of the code they may be warned about their behaviour, have a letter sent to their parents and/or they may face police action. TfL will be informed of all incidents of misconduct to consider the withdrawal of the young persons free travel concession. Please remind your child of the following:

Our Ethos at Oasis Academy Enfield
Our ethos is rooted in what we believe and who we are. Grounded in our story, it is an expression of our character; a set of values that inform and provide the lens on everything we do.
- A passion to include
- A desire to treat people equally respecting differences
- A commitment to healthy, open relationships
- A deep sense of hope that things can change and be transformed
- A sense of perseverance to keep going for the long haul
It is these ethos values that we want to be known for and to live by. We are committed to a model of inclusion, equality, healthy relationships, hope, and perseverance throughout all the aspects of the life and culture of every Oasis Hub and academy community.
We encourage every member of our family, be that staff or student, to align themselves to these ethos values. The values themselves are inspired by the life, message and example of Jesus but we make it clear that we will not impose on anyone, the beliefs that underpin our ethos values. We recognise and celebrate the richness that spiritual and cultural diversity brings to our community, respecting the beliefs and practices of other faiths in the hope that we will provide a welcoming environment for all.
