Cold and Flu season 🦠
Dear BHP Families,
As we move further into cold and flu season, we are beginning to see an uptick in students experiencing fevers and other symptoms of illness on campus. We appreciate your help in keeping our school community healthy and limiting the spread of illness.
As a reminder, students must be fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication (such as Tylenol or Motrin) before returning to school. This means students should not have a fever for a full 24 hours without medication before coming back to campus.
We know it can be difficult when students are sick, and we certainly don't want them missing school unnecessarily. However, allowing students time to fully recover helps protect their classmates, teachers, and staff and keeps illness from spreading throughout our school.
Please continue to monitor your child for symptoms and encourage good handwashing.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our Buckaroos healthy, happy, and ready to learn!
STEAM Night
November 12th 5pm-6:30pm
Texan Roots
Each week we will be focusing on one of our Texan Roots themes and
how they apply to our Buckaroo Be's.
This week our focus was on A-Achieving goals “Seeing what needs to be done, and doing it.”
Next week our focus will be on N- Neighborly "Being friendly, kind and helpful."
Partnering Together: Your help at home can make a big impact on the culture of our school family.
Conversation Starter for Parents:
"Being neighborly means looking for ways to help others, showing kindness, and making the people around us feel welcome and cared for. What is one thing we could do this week to be a good neighbor?"
Transportation Changes
All transportation changes need to go through the front office BEFORE 2:00. You can call our main number at 512-847-3407 or email BHPlogistics@wimberleyisd.net. Transportation changes recieved after 2:00 may not be honored. Please get them in early. When we have to pull a student off the bus to get in the car rider line, it holds up our entire dismissal process.
Please do not rely on the teacher for transportation changes. They are busy teaching and may not be able to check email.
