SAFE CAMPUS UPDATE SAFE CAMPUS UPDATE

As we start the new year, the safety and well-being of our students and staff continue to be our top priority. To ensure a secure learning environment, we practice several drills multiple times each month.

Attached is a handout of the various drills we practice and the details of each drill. You can also find more information about our Safe Campus on pages 16 and 17 of our Student + Family Handbook.

This month, we will be conducting our first Lockdown Drill of the school year. The Lockdown Drill is designed to practice and reinforce the procedures in place in the unlikely event of an emergency, such as a threat within or near the school premises. It helps our students and staff become familiar with the actions needed to stay safe and secure during such situations.

Why Drills Essential:

We believe that preparation is key to ensuring the safety of our school community. These drills are essential for familiarizing everyone with emergency procedures and ensuring a swift and coordinated response if the need ever arises.

Talking to Your Child at Home:

We encourage you to take a moment to discuss safety procedures with your student(s) at home. By reviewing the importance of these drills and discussing the actions to take in various scenarios, you can help reinforce the knowledge gained during our practices. Your partnership in ensuring your child understands and feels secure is invaluable to us!!

Our Commitment to Safety:

In light of recent events and the unfortunate rise in school-related incidents, we want to assure you that we are taking every measure to keep our students and staff safe. Your child's safety is of utmost importance, and our commitment to providing a secure learning environment remains unwavering!

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
