Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and we are so excited to take time to celebrate the incredible educators who pour their time, energy, and hearts into helping our students grow every single day. Whether they’re leading lessons, providing encouragement, or staying late to prep for class or coach a team, our teachers are truly the heart of Edmond Memorial.
This year, I’d like to challenge all of our families — students and parents alike — to take just a moment next week to reach out to that one teacher who made a lasting impact on your life. Maybe it was a high school teacher who believed in you when you didn’t believe in yourself. Maybe it was that middle school teacher who helped you find your voice. Or maybe it was an elementary school teacher who made learning feel like magic. Whoever it was, let them know. A simple email, a handwritten note, or even a quick message on social media can mean the world to the people who’ve helped shape our lives and our children’s futures.
While we hope you’ll take time to thank a teacher from your past, we also encourage you to show some love to our current Edmond Memorial faculty who are making a difference right now. Our teachers work incredibly hard to support, inspire, and challenge our students each and every day. A quick email, note, or kind word can go a long way in reminding them just how appreciated they are.
