Safety Updates - Upcoming Lockdown Drill – Wednesday, November 4th, 2026

On Wednesday, November 4th, at 11:25 a.m., Rancho Buena Vista High School will participate in a lockdown drill. Our Office will not be able to release students for appointments during this time. Please plan accordingly.

Students and staff will practice lockdown safety procedures. This drill is an important part of our ongoing efforts to ensure our school community is prepared in the event of an emergency.

This is a scheduled drill only, and no action is needed from families.

Thank you for your continued support in keeping our Longhorn community safe.

Thank you,

RBV Administration

Start Smart Class & RBV Student Parking Regulations - 2026-2027

Hello Longhorn Families,

If your student plans to drive to school and park in the RBV student parking lot, they must complete the following steps to receive a parking permit:

  • Attend a Start Smart driving safety class. NEXT START SMART CLASS IS 11/4/26. Other class dates and locations are included in the flyer and registration form below. (This can be completed ahead of receiving a driver’s license)

2. Read and complete the Parking Regulations and Permit Form (English/Spanish). A parent or guardian’s signature is required.

3. Bring the following documents to the RBV Finance Office, located in the school’s front office area:

  • Current vehicle registration

  • Completed RBV Parking Regulations and Permit Form

  • Valid California driver’s license

  • Current proof of vehicle insurance

  • Start Smart certificate of completion

Once all required documents have been received and verified by the finance office, the student will be issued a parking tag. The tag must be displayed on the vehicle’s rearview mirror at all times while the vehicle is parked in the RBV student parking lot.

Thank you for helping us keep our student parking lot safe and organized!
