Dear Polar Bear Families,

I hope you all had a wonderful Fall break! We missed our polar bears and are thrilled to have them back. We have until December 20th to enjoy learning and growing together before heading into winter break from December 23rd to January 7th. Students are back on January 8th.

As we close out the first semester, I want to remind you to stay connected with us by following our Facebook, Instagram and X pages. Don't forget to visit our school webpage and check out our bimonthly newsletter to stay updated on everything happening on campus. If you have not yet downloaded the EPISD App yet, please come by the office if you need assistance with that.

These weeks leading up to winter break are crucial for attendance. It is important that students are in school all day, every day, and on time. This is a time when students receive the explicit intervention and enrichment they need, and we also get to have a little fun! Our dress-up days begin December 5th. Please see the calendar below for details.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. Let's make these last few weeks of the semester great!

Dear parents,

Per EPISD Policy, when you sign out your student early, it is considered a PARTIAL UNEXCUSED ABSENCE. If your student has a doctor’s appointment, or any other type of appointment that can be excused with a note, please submit the note within 5 days of the absence so that it can be excused. We understand that life happens and with it are unforeseen events, which is why we recommend that you limit the number of times your child is picked up early. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at any time.

Monica Paredes,

PEIMS Clerk

Estimados padres,

Empleado PEIMS

Attention Parents Attention Parents

Parent chat groups can be a fabulous method to communicate and keep yourself informed about what is happening in your child's classroom.

When participating in a parent chat group, it's important to model good digital citizenship and be respectful of others:

1. Be positive: Keep the chat positive and supportive.

2. Be thoughtful: Before sending a reply, read and review it to avoid offending others.

3. Be considerate: Don't take up the group's time with private conversations, and don't message someone privately without asking first.

3. Be respectful: Respect intellectual property rights and avoid sharing personal information. Please don't mention someone else's child or make accusations about someone else's child.

4. Be mindful of tone: Avoid using all caps, which can be perceived as yelling.

5. Be aware of time: Let people know when you're signing off for the day, and avoid using the chat late at night.

6. Be open to listening: Be open to listening to others' views and opinions.

7. Be collaborative: Adopt an inclusive approach and work together to understand behavior.

School/Parent chat groups again, are intended to be utilized to communicate about school and classroom events. Some great information to share might be:

  • reminders about school events

  • field trips

  • birthday wishes

  • thanking others for their support

  • congratulations on events

excursiones

deseos de cumpleaños

agradecer a los demás por su apoyo

felicitaciones por los eventos
