NEW Traffic Pattern

It is critically important for students, parents, and staff safety that you familiarize yourself with our new arrival and dismissal information that is included in this letter.

We are asking that K - 3 and older siblings be dropped off in the front lane of the building and 4 - 6 grade students be picked up in the back. We are asking ALL parents to stay in their car and drive through the lanes in a “drive-thru” style.

Every Day Counts: A Strong Start Begins with Showing Up

As we begin a new school year, we are excited to welcome students back to our classrooms. Every new school year brings opportunities for learning, growth, friendships, and new experiences. One of the greatest predictors of student success is something every family can influence—consistent school attendance.

Learning begins on the very first day of school. Classroom routines, relationship building, and foundational instruction all occur immediately, making those first weeks especially important. Students who establish strong attendance habits early are more likely to remain engaged throughout the year.

We understand that illnesses and emergencies happen, and students should stay home when they are truly sick. However, many absences can be prevented through consistent morning routines, regular bedtimes, and planning ahead whenever possible.

This month, we encourage every family to set an attendance goal. Make arriving at school on time part of your daily routine and communicate with the school whenever your child must be absent.

Family Tip: Prepare backpacks, lunches, and clothing the night before to create a less stressful morning routine.

Attendance Reminder: Every school day provides opportunities that cannot always be recreated later. Starting strong helps students build confidence for the entire year.

Have a wonderful day!
All my best,
Dr. Dana Martin
