There will be no school on Monday, May 26, in honor of Memorial Day. Please note that students will return to school on Tuesday, May 27, which will be used as a weather make-up day. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend as we take time to honor and remember those who have served our country.

💛Character Trait of the Month 💛Character Trait of the Month

Have some fun connecting as a family this month while practicing Creativity. Here is a “PurposeFull Pursuits” you can complete together!

Review Creativity as a family! Creativity is using your imagination to create something new or solve a problem. This challenge is about creating something new – together! Find a large cardboard box and unleash your Creativity as you work together to create something totally new. What can the box become? Perhaps it will be a spaceship, an ice cream shop, a fairy castle, or a race car. Use any craft supplies or scraps on hand and your imagination to turn an ordinary box into a new creation!

💯SBA Testing Update 💯SBA Testing Update

Here’s a revised version for your family newsletter:

Our 3rd and 4th grade students finished state testing this week—way to go, Thunder Eagles! 🦅 We are so proud of the hard work, focus, and perseverance our students showed throughout the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA).

Our 5th grade students will complete their final state assessment next week with the Science test on Wednesday, May 28th, and Thursday, May 29th if additional time is needed. We know they will continue to do their best and SOAR! 💜

Families can help support their child during testing by:
✨ Making sure students arrive on time each day
✨ Encouraging a good night’s sleep
✨ Providing a healthy breakfast
✨ Offering words of encouragement and reminding them to just do their best

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your child’s success. We appreciate all you do to help them. 💜
