FALLing Into Learning FALLing Into Learning

September has come to a close and fall is here!

October brings new opportunities for growth and fun! Students will dive deeper into reading and math skills, continue building strong writing habits, and explore seasonal themes across the curriculum. We’re also excited for upcoming fall activities that bring our school community together.

Thank you, families, for partnering with us—you make a huge difference in your child’s success. We’re looking forward to an exciting October full of learning, laughter, and memories!

Learning Math is FUN!

You’ve probably heard the excitement about our new Bluebonnet Math curriculum! Both students and teachers are settling into its format, and the results are already showing. Even better, our students are discovering that math can actually be fun!

Hispanic Heritage Month

Nash is honoring Hispanic Heritage Month with a variety of engaging activities! Students are learning traditional dances in PE, exploring Hispanic cultures in their classrooms, and expressing their creativity through vibrant Hispanic-inspired artwork. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our students to celebrate diversity and learn about the rich traditions that shape our community.

Johnny Appleseed Parade

Our 1st-grade students celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day by learning about his contributions to nature. Johnny Appleseed, whose real name was John Chapman, planted apple trees across much of the United States, spreading not only orchards but also kindness wherever he went. Our students honored his legacy by conducting a campus wide parade on his birthday, September 26th.

This month, our focus was on RESPECT, and we are proud to recognize students who demonstrated this trait in outstanding ways! Congratulations to the following students for showing exceptional character. Students are nominated by teachers and staff who witness them embodying respect in their daily actions.

We are excited to begin offering parent courses designed to provide strategies and interventions that support positive behavior at home. These sessions will cover topics such as:

  • Establishing consistent routines

  • Helping children complete tasks

  • Reinforcing positive behaviors

At this time, we are gathering interest from families. If you are interested, please scan the attached QR code to complete a short form. This will allow you to share the areas you’d most like support in, and we will use that information to finalize course dates and topics.

Thank you for partnering with us as we work together to strengthen consistency between home and school. Our goal is to provide meaningful tools that support both you and your child.
