REMINDER OF SAFETY POLICY π
Closed Campus
Reminder, we follow closed campus protocols. To keep our students safe and to minimize classroom disruptions, if your student is late, please have them check in at the office and they will be walked to class by a staff member if they are unable to walk by themselves. We will be strictly enforcing this school policy. Thank you for your help to keep our campus safe!
SCHOOL REDESIGN UPDATE π‘πππ¨π§ͺ
This week, our school Redesign Team, met with Student Council to get more student feedback. Bobcats shared they liked the Values of Community, Excellence, Perseverance, and Leadership (especially the Leadership one!). They are also helping us brainstorm more leadership opportunities at our school for next year! Thank you Felicita Student Council!
COACH E'S WORLD π
Our school is proud to partner with the American Heart Associationβs Kids Heart Challenge service-learning program which kicks off next Wednesday, March 5th. Students will learn how to have happy and healthy hearts while raising lifesaving donations to help others with special hearts. Plus, your family can learn the lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR through Finnβs Mission! Join the team TODAY at www.heart.org/schools or by downloading the FREE AHA Schools App for Apple or Android. Students that join the team early will be recognized at our AHA presentation on March 5th and those that complete Finnβs Mission will get a special gift!
PTA NEWS π°
π Spirit Wear
We would like to extend our sincere apologies for the delay in delivering your spirit wear orders. Due to an administrative oversightβour representative did not submit the paper orders in December. Since then, we have worked closely with our representative and supplier to clarify the order, and we are now beginning to receive the remaining items.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this matter. Thank you for your continued support of our school and the PTA.πΎ
π€ Help Shape Our Future β Join the Felicita PTA Board! π€
Our amazing eventsβlike Trunk or Treat, Winter Craft Night, and Movie Nightβand programs such as Spirit Wear, Yearbook, and School Photos happen because of our dedicated PTA. But we need YOU to keep these traditions alive!
Join our PTA Board and play a key role in supporting and enhancing our school community. Remember, without a PTA, there are no big school events! Contact Ms. Laura Aguilera, our Family Liaison for more information!
RECESS REIMAGINED ππ³π―π
It was another great time with Recess Reimagined! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this possible!
ATTENDANCE MATTERS β
Help us reach our attendance goal of 94% average daily attendance!
Regular student attendance plays a critical role in our collective mission to ensure every student achieves their fullest potential.
Why Attendance Should Be a Top Priority:
Academic Achievement: Regular attendance is fundamental to student success. Each school day is a building block in the learning process. Consistent attendance helps students keep up with coursework, understand key concepts, and perform better academically.
Social and Emotional Development: School is a place where students develop crucial social skills and emotional resilience. Frequent absences can hinder their ability to form strong relationships with peers and teachers, impacting their overall development.
Future Opportunities: Consistent attendance is linked to higher graduation rates and better long-term outcomes, including higher education and career prospects. By prioritizing attendance, we are directly contributing to students' future success.
School Culture: Regular attendance fosters a positive school culture and enhances the learning environment for everyone. It creates a sense of community and ensures that all students have equal access to the resources and support they need.
