Families in the PM- please do not use the playground at drop off (12:30 pm). Our elementary students are using the playground at that time. Feel free to use it after preschool pick up when it is not in use!

Income Level Survey

Each year for state reporting, we are required to collect income percentages of students served in our GJPS preschool. The link below outlines the poverty levels based on size of family and can be used to make the appropriate selection for your family.

Please complete the google form by April 5, 2024. There is an option to opt out if you choose not to participate.

May 10th- Family Fun Night (Share Your Talents/Business)

We are planning on hosting a family fun night on May 10, 2024 (more details to come) from 4:30-6:30. We are reaching out to see if any families have businesses that they would like to showcase that is child friendly. If so, email Missy Grimmett at grimmettm@gjps.org.

We would ideally like the business to provide a game or service that would support the students that evening while sponsoring your business.

Dear Families,

Next week, children will learn about insects that fly, including bees, mosquitoes, flies, butterflies, ladybugs, and dragonflies. They will learn how these critters fly, which ones are pests, and which one creates a sweet treat. Children will also learn about the metamorphosis of the butterfly.

Next week’s Family Connections activities can be found at:
https://portal2.frogstreet.com/wp-content/uploads/prek2/familyconn/ENG-FC-T7-W3.pdf

Next week’s storybook, “Stop Bugging Me!” can be found at: https://portal2.frogstreet.com/ebook/?bookname=FS20085_StopBuggingMe_eBook.

Looking forward to an exciting week!

Sincerely,

Kindergarten Enrollment Information (Required to be 5 by August 1, 2024) Kindergarten Enrollment Information (Required to be 5 by August 1, 2024)

Age for Kindergarten: Your child must be 5 by August 1, 2024 to go to Kindergarten.

Enrollment for Kindergarten: If your child is age-eligible to go to Kindergarten and currently attends our preschool, you will NOT need to enroll them for Kindergarten. We will send all information to the building principals.

Pink forms were sent home with age-eligible peer models to communicate if your child will be transitioning. If you are planning on keeping your child in preschool, we MUST receive the form back or communication to hold a spot for your child for the 24-25 school year.

Medical Statement Reminder

Our preschool licensing rules require us to have an updated medical statement on each student after EACH annual exam. The medical statement form is attached below. Take this form to your child's yearly exam to have completed by their pediatrician. If you need a form sent home, please let us know and we would be happy to print and send it home!
