A Word From Principal Bratton
A Season of Thanksgiving
Dear Owl Creek Families,
As we enter the season of Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment on behalf of our entire staff to express our heartfelt gratitude for you and your family. Your support, involvement, and dedication make our school a truly special place, and we are so thankful to have such a caring and committed community. From the time and effort you put into helping with fall parties to the encouragement you give your children each day, your contributions mean so much to us and to our students.
This month, our Capturing Kids' Hearts (CKH) focus is Better Together/Teamwork. At Owl Creek, we believe in the power of working together to create the best learning environment possible. Your partnership with us makes this vision a reality, as we support each other in doing what’s best for our students. We are so fortunate to be part of a community that values teamwork and the well-being of every child.
Though practicing gratitude is something we value all year, we’re focusing on it especially in November. We encourage you to help your child reflect on what they’re thankful for, whether it’s their school, teachers, family, home, pets, or a warm meal at the end of the day. Taking a few minutes to talk about these things can go a long way in nurturing a grateful mindset that lasts a lifetime.
Thank you for being a vital part of our Owl Creek family. Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful Thanksgiving season filled with warmth, happiness, and gratitude.
With sincere thanks,
Tracy Bratton
Owl Creek Principal
School Report Card Grades
We’re proud to share that the Arkansas Department of Education has released school report card grades, and Owl Creek Elementary received an “A”! That’s not all — we also earned the “Beating the Odds” award, recognizing our school for achieving top growth across the state and region in student learning.
This dual honor reflects the incredible hard work and dedication of our students, staff, parents, and community. Our success truly is a team effort — from parent support at home, community engagement, and our committed educators each day — all contributing to an environment where every student can succeed.
Thank you for helping make Owl Creek a place where high expectations, collaboration, and a safe, nurturing environment lead to outstanding achievement.
