Construction on our new high school is moving forward and I am excited to share updates about our progress.

The underground utilities and building pad are now complete, and crews began pouring the concrete piers on September 5. This work is expected to continue for about four weeks, followed by the installation of grade beams and preparation for the slab, which is scheduled to begin in mid-October.

We’re also proud to share that the new tennis courts are complete and ready for use. Lighting will be installed by the end of September, adding another improvement to our athletic facilities.

Thank you for your continued support as we invest in facilities that will serve Bearcats for years to come.

We would not be able to make all of these important upgrades to our facilities without the support of our incredible community. Thank you for voting yes for our students!

The Henrietta ISD community overwhelmingly approved a $36 million investment for a new high school and improvements to athletic facilities on May 4, 2024.

Henrietta ISD Superintendent Jaime Clark stated, "I am so excited for the future of Henrietta ISD and the opportunities these facilities and upgrades will provide our students for generations to come.”

Board of Trustees President Brad Yurcho conveyed gratitude, stating, "This success began many months ago with a community-led Facility Committee of parents, staff and community members who met to ensure all students in Henrietta ISD continue to have access to modern classrooms and innovative programs..”

With voters approving both propositions, the projected tax increase is 23 cents per $100 valuation. This tax rate will still be lower than the 2022 tax rate.
