LBA Families, you're the absolute best!

Kids have been working hard to start this school year. We've been learning new schedules, making friends, doing some testing, and learning how to "drive" our own learning. Be sure to ask students what it means to "invest" in their learning or "drive" their own learning. This is a huge part of our push to "Bee Engaged!"

• Prioritize non-food items for celebrations: For birthdays, rewards, and prizes, guardians are asked to consider non-food gifts first (such as pencils, stickers, or glow sticks) or order healthy class snacks directly through SFSD Child Nutrition.

• Follow strict rules for treats: Any food brought to school must be commercially prepared, individually wrapped, and include a nutrition label; home-baked goods are not permitted.

• No commercial fast food: Fast food should not be brought in or delivered to students during the school day.
