The Sylvan Sunday Swoop
Week 2

Week 2: Blue Jays are Building Greatness One Day at a Time!
Greetings Sylvan Blue Jay Families!
What an amazing start to the school year! Walking through classrooms in Week 1, I have seen smiles, laughter, and a true sense of excitement as our Blue Jays have begun to soar. Our teachers and staff have been intentional about building routines, fostering friendships, and creating safe learning environments. Students are exploring new skills, showing curiosity, and learning the importance of responsibility and consistency.
We are grateful for the support you give at home—whether it’s encouraging daily attendance, asking your child about their day, or celebrating small wins together. These partnerships strengthen our school community and help every child thrive. Together, we are laying a strong foundation for success. Each day, our students are reminded that they have the ability to grow, achieve, and build greatness not just for themselves but for their classmates and our school family.
Please check out our important updates below.
CLASS DOJO:
In order for a parent, guardian or other adult to be added to a student's Class Dojo page, the parent or guardian MUST add that person as a contact for your student in Infinite Campus.
ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL
We ask that you drop off your student(s) in the car rider line. Anyone walking in with your child, will need to park in the overflow lot across the street and bring your ID to sign in at the front office. (See the map below) No passing is allowed in the car rider line. This is for the safety of ALL of our Blue Jays.
Please note: Traffic turning left into the car rider line cannot block the oncoming traffic on Sylvan Rd. per the Highway Patrol. Please utilize the overflow parking circle to turn around so that you can turn right into the car rider line drop-off.
During the afternoon dismissal, all parents/guardians picking up in the car rider line, must have their student's assigned number card visible on the dash or in the window. If you do not have a car rider tag, you will need to park in the overflow lot across the street and come in with your ID to get your student. This is a safety precaution to ensure that ALL students are going home with someone who has permission to pick them up. No passing is allowed in the car rider line. Please be patient as we work out any kinks and get in a groove with our afternoon dismissal. The safety of our Blue Jays is a priority.
🚀As we head into Week 2, let’s continue to celebrate each step forward and encourage our Blue Jays to keep soaring higher. Greatness is built one day at a time, and with your partnership, we know the best is yet to come!
With appreciation,
Mrs. Hamilton
