2023/2024 Preschool and Kindergarten Registration

For those with preschool- and kindergarten-aged children, registration for the 2023-24 school year will open next month.

Kindergarten registration opens Feb. 7. More details will be available soon.
Tuition-based preschool enrollment opens Feb. 1 after 9 a.m. Registering is based on space available. Please contact Early Learning Director Pam Stoner at pam_stoner@sumnersd.org.

Congratulations to Melissa Brown and Tessa Kerley for earning their National Board Certificates! National Board Certification was designed to develop, retain and recognize accomplished teachers and to generate ongoing improvement in schools nationwide. It’s the
highest certification a teacher may obtain.

Please join us for our 2nd Annual Regional Elementary Curriculum Showcase*

When: Thursday, January 26th

This district event will feature:

Our Elementary core curriculum in Language Arts, Math, and Social Emotional Learning for each grade level as well as intervention materials and additional curriculum used to support our students in Special Education.

An opportunity to view our New 5th grade Human Growth and Development (puberty) and HIV Videos

Opt out forms will be available after viewing the videos for current 5th grade students.

Meet and talk with some of our Donald Eismann Elementary staff as well as teachers in nearby SBLSD schools.

Obtain information about 2023-24 Kindergarten Registration and programs like READY for Kindergarten.

Visit resource tables hosted by elementary specialists in PE, Music, and STEM.

*This is an adult event to provide parents with information about the elementary curriculum.

There will be no activities for children nor childcare available.

One week left to submit attendance waiver application

Attendance waiver applications for the 2023-24 school year must be submitted by Jan. 27 for optimal consideration. Waiver applications submitted after Jan. 27 may be considered if it’s determined that grade level and building capacity allows. Visit the Attendance Waiver webpage for the types of waivers, timelines and more information. Out of district waivers must be renewed every year; in-district waivers do not.
