A Message From the Principal

Dear Academy Families and Friends,

Fall is here. We had a successful launch in September, but now excited to see the Fall events coming our way: Here's a few things to know about the weeks and events ahead!

Open House was a huge hit. Despite the rain, we had a tremendous turnout. It was great to see so many families come in and see the sights in our classrooms and around the building. We appreciate our strong bonds between home and school and appreciate all of our families' support.
MCAS data has been released. We're happy to announce Academy did well. Click here if you are interested to see how the school did in ELA, Math and Science as compared to the district and state. This year, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has designated family portal access to see students' personal MCAS results.
The Data is in from the fall benchmarks. This data is critical as we use it for tiered instruction as well as build support and interventions to help all of our students make effective progress.
Fun Run officially kicks off-the big day is on October 23-sign up today. More info will be coming out this week!
Our School Council met last week and worked on our school improvement plan. We're excited to present it to School Committee on October 15, 2026.
Walk to school day is this Friday, October 9th...click here for more info. It looks like a beautiful morning to get some fresh air and exercise walking to school. The more the merrier!!!
During October, students in Grades 3-5 will take the Panorama Survey! This data is so helpful in getting the pulse of the school climate!
Also as we move deeper into the Fall, here is a link for programs available to families for food and holiday support.

Attendance Counts

A few different grades are one star away from being our first winner of the "Race to 5 Challenge". It's been neck and neck all the way.

Fresh Fruits and Veggies

Kids are loving the new program from Food Services!. Every Tuesday and Thursday, kids will have the opportunity to try new fruits/veggies.

Panorama Survey is Back

During the 2026-2027 school year, we will continue to use the Panorama survey for students in Grades 3-12 across the district. Survey data helps us determine if we are meeting students’ learning needs and to evaluate the progress of our social-emotional learning practices.
