We would love to give our own staff and community members the opportunity to highlight the exceptional work of our staff here at Christie. We believe that supporting our staff is critical to creating an encouraging culture where teachers, staff, and administrators feel valued and respected. Car Tags Are REQUIRED At Dismissal
When you pick up your child from school either through carpool or as a parent walking up to the school doors, please remember ALWAYS to bring your car tag with you. Often parents say, "But the teacher knows me already!" True until the day that a substitute is helping with dismissal. If you do not bring your car tag, you will be asked to go to the office to show your ID - no exceptions. If you need extra car tags, we are happy to provide them. Just email us and we will send an extra home with your child. Thank you for working with us to ensure the safe dismissal of over 550 students.
*If you are changing the way your student is getting home, please communicate that ahead of time so your student can be in the correct dismissal location.

Safety and Security
At Plano ISD, the safety and well-being of our students is always a top priority. As one of the many steps to a multi-layered approach to safety and security, our district utilizes the Standard Response Protocol (SRP), which your child learned about this week.
Senate Bill 12: Instructional Plan Access for Parents
As shared on July 15, Academic Services, Advanced Academics, CTE, Health/PE and Fine Arts continue to work to ensure that all courses have an instructional plan aligned with our district curriculum and posted on our public-facing Plano ISD website in accordance with Senate Bill 12 requirements.
Parents may request this information directly from teachers; however, we strongly recommend that you encourage teachers to direct parents to our website for the most accurate and up-to-date instructional plans. Here is the path they will want to follow:
- pisd.edu → Students and Families → Instructional Plans (pisd.edu/instructionalplans)
- From there, parents can select the desired content area and grade level to review instructional plans.
Selecting the organization that you wish to support is as simple as updating the Kroger Community Rewards selection on your digital account.
1. Sign in to your digital account.
2. Search for your organization here.
3. Enter the name or NPO number of the organization you wish to support.
4. Select the appropriate organization from the list and click “Save”.
Your selected organization will also display in the Kroger Community Rewards section of your account. If you need to review or revisit your organization, you can always do so under your Account details.
Any transactions moving forward using the Shopper’s Card number associated with your digital account will be applied to the program, at no added cost to you. Kroger donates annually to participating organizations based on your percentage of spending as it relates to the total spending associated with all participating Kroger Community Rewards organizations.
